“A person must love what they do or love where they live and I had neither as an accountant. "
At the age of 29, I decided to go back to school to pursue an education in Chiropractic at Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College.
Dr. Miller, along with his wife and 4 children, love the East Kootenays and all it has to offer. “We are excited to finally live in this beautiful area. I can now say I love what I do AND love where I live.” Dr. Miller is an avid hiker, mountain biker, and skier. He swam competitively for 10 years. He has a particular interest in sports related injuries.
Helping people continually improve their physical potential is why I chose to become a Chiropractor. I’m constantly amazed by people’s capacity to overcome the difficult things life throws at them. We have an incredible ability to survive and thrive, especially with encouragement and support. I love to see what people can accomplish when their mind and body's function well.
My approach to treatment centers on improving one's potential by increasing function using the most current evidence. This starts by finding the true nature of the pain or complaint whether it be an injured joint, muscle, nerve or faulty biomechanics. From there, function is improved through specific exercises, workplace and lifestyle changes.
Treatment methods include manipulation, mobilization, soft tissue techniques, rehabilitation exercises, ergonomic evaluations and orthotic prescriptions.
